Predictive Analytics

In our world of “Big Data,” it can get overwhelming. Sometimes it is hard to know where to start.

The Predictive Analytics course builds on the Data Analytics Basic class. The advanced statistical tools focus on how we can take our data and use it to predict future outcomes.

The Predictive Analytics course is 8 hours in duration. It can be presented in person or online. The content of the course includes:

  • Multiple Regression – Analysis utilizing multiple factors. The output will provide a mathematical relationship between the factors and identify which ones are most important. The mathematical relationship can be used to predict an outcome using historical data.
  • Binary Logistic Regression – Analysis using multiple factors contributing to a pass/fail outcome. The output will provide a mathematical relationship and the odds of success or failure.
  • Design of Experiments – This uses multiple factors that are varied within the confines of a structured experiment. The output is a mathematical relationship that can be used to optimize the equipment or process as well as predicting an outcome.
  • Statistical Forecasting – Historic data is used to predict future outcomes. Different methods are compared to provide the most accurate forecast.
