Google Analytics can be used by anyone with a website, from a single person promoting a side gig to a large business. It helps to understand how people use their website.
Google Analytics is the most widely used web analytics platform. The most often used version is free, which is all that is needed for small businesses. Google Analytics builds reports that break down traffic to a website. You will receive five different reports:
- Realtime – the number of users currently on your website
- Audience – provides demographics of those visiting your website
- Acquisition – reports how traffic came to your website, organic vs. another source
- Behavior – reports the page’s visitors visit on your website
- Conversion – reports the activities completed such as a purchase or the filling out of a form
The Google Analytics Course for Beginners is an 8 hour course. There will be an hour of instruction, followed by a 6-hour online course. The next week will be follow up with the instructor to provide additional tips with Google and practice with some of the Google Reports.
