Champion Training

The role of the Champion is critical to the success of any process improvement or business excellence initiative, including Lean Six Sigma. Not only do they need to align the process improvement initiative with the corporate strategy, they also take a very active leadership role in the implementation of process improvement projects.

A Champion should have enough influence in an organization to remove obstacles or provide resources to the improvement teams. They have a vested interest in the projects which keeps accountability strong between the project manager and the Champion. Since Champions are often executive leaders in an organization, they are also ideal candidates to identify and scope projects for major process improvement initiatives.

The Champion training provides the fundamentals of Lean Six Sigma. It also provides the skills required to support any project based business improvement initiative. Participants will be able to:

• Select the appropriate process improvement technique for a wide variety of business issues
• Understand the methodology of Lean Six Sigma and its utilization in the realm of business excellence
• Select and define a project for successful outcomes
• Support those leading process improvement projects to encourage success
• Create a culture for change in their organization
